TUTORING
What to Expect
Hello! Thank you for your interest in being a tutor! Tutoring is a valued skill and shows a great understanding of topics, so this is a great opportunity for high schoolers to expand their horizons.
We currently teach 8 courses: Biology, Physics, Algebra (1), Geometry, Intro to Java, Intro to Computer Science, Intro to FLL, and Intro to FTC. The classes are typically taught in 40 minutes sessions twice a week across Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. For the summer of 2021, the classes ran from July 20th to August 12th in the afternoons.

Requirements to be a Tutor:
Must be in High School
Must be knowledgeable in the course you are looking to teach.
Must be able to attend at least 75% of the classes to teach.
Time Commitment: We expect tutors who want to create a curriculum to devote 2-3 hours a week creating content per course. Tutors who teach must attend two 40-minute teaching sessions per week plus take time to familiarize themselves with the teaching material.
Note: Many of our tutors decide to both create the course and teach it.
If you see a course you would like to teach or create, please fill out the form. If you want to create and teach an additional STEM-related course not already in our catalog, email us your proposal at techxbridge@gmail.com
